Today I talked with a few friends of mine about the importance of proper nutrition. They are all looking to lose weight and were searching for some insights on what types of things they could do from a nutritional standpoint to help them out.
As we discussed a few strategies I tried to make it known that there really isn’t one perfect way to go about things.
Every person is different – they like different foods, have different schedules, varying body types, and so on.
To say that there is a perfect nutritional plan that will work for everyone just doesn’t make sense – we are all just too unique for a one-size-fits-all plan.
Now, I’m pretty sure you realize that what you eat has a tremendous influence on how you feel, how you act, and how you look.
What you may not realize is that there are a variety of ways you can eat to get your desired results – it is going to depend on you specifically.
For some people the Paleo Diet may be the way to go. For others they may prefer some type of intermittent fasting or the Slow Carb Diet.
The different protocols for healthy eating could include eating healthy 80-90% of the time or perhaps having 1 cheat day per week.
All different types of eating could potentially work to help you achieve your goals and eat healthier. Of course some things will be the same across the board, like getting enough vitamins and nutrients, but still, there is a great deal of variety.
We always search for the perfect diet or the perfect workout or this magically solution to a problem we have, but those things don’t exist.
We live in an imperfect world, but this doesn’t mean we can’t find a solution that works for our lifestyle.
I encourage you to have a little fun with things. Experiment and find what type of eating works best for you to accomplish your goals. Try something, see what happens, and adjust from there.
