Celebrating The Small Victories


For most people this number means absolutely nothing.

For one of my clients, Mark, this number represents a great deal – hard work, dedication, a changed lifestyle, and a small victory.

This number, 219.6, is what Mark currently weighs – a weight he hasn’t been at in more than 20 years!

I’ve worked with Mark for the last 8 weeks and he has been doing such a fantastic job, remaining consistent with his workouts and doing everything I’ve asked of him.

Even on the days where he’s felt like absolute trash, we’ve still managed to do at least some type of S.U.D.S. workouta small victory I’d say because he easily could have cancelled.

We’ve weathered the Christmas season, extremely cold days, and many other potential excuses to get him to this point.

Mark came to me 8 weeks ago, hadn’t exercised in years, and was extremely hesitant to get started. His goal was to get below 220 pounds before his vacation to Florida and by working on progressing each week he accomplished just that this past Wednesday.

Mark still has bigger goals for himself, but I couldn’t be happier with what he has done thus far.

Those moments of success, seeing the joy in a client’s face when they accomplish a goal, is what keeps me going – it is the reason why I do what I do.

I encourage you to celebrate the small victories in your own life.

I know we all want instant results, but know that they will come in time. Celebrate the small victories and keep moving forward.
