Last night I watched a documentary on Netflix called “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.”
This documentary followed the journey of an Australian man named Joe Cross who went on a 60 day juice fast to help him lose weight and regain his health.
The documentary was really quite inspiring.
Joe ended up losing 100 pounds and getting off of all his medications – all from juicing – drinking only fruits and vegetables. Continue reading

From the time I was in the 4th grade all the way through college I have played sports.
I’ve played baseball, basketball, football, and done track and field.

Oh yes, carbs – those macronutrients that everyone is going so crazy over.
With the discussion of carbs comes up a plethora of questions:
How many should I consume?
Do they make me fat?
Are they bad?
When should I eat them?
I’ll admit, my view on carbs has definitely changed over time. Depending on what your goal is, your carb intake will vary greatly. Continue reading

I had a friend of mine message me a few days ago asking about my thoughts on supplements.
He had gone into Walgreens and had seen this daunting wall of supplements that they had on display and wondered what many of you have probably wondered – how do I make sense of this all?
With the vast amount of supplements out there it can be extremely difficult to make an informed decision on what to do – I understand this and, just like you, I’ve seen these types of displays at different stores in the past.
Today, I’ll help simplify things for you and give you my thoughts. Continue reading
Today I talked with a few friends of mine about the importance of proper nutrition. They are all looking to lose weight and were searching for some insights on what types of things they could do from a nutritional standpoint to help them out.
As we discussed a few strategies I tried to make it known that there really isn’t one perfect way to go about things.
Every person is different – they like different foods, have different schedules, varying body types, and so on. Continue reading
